Announcement of Restricted Call for Governance Project Proposal under the Territorial strategy of the (Interreg VI-A) Bulgaria-Serbia Programme 2021-2027 with aim to secure knowledge capacity for implementation of the Strategy by the Strategy Board.
Eligible applicants under the Call are the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria and Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works invites applicants with approved concept notes from the Territorial Strategy of the Bulgaria-Serbia programme to submit their complete project proposals. There are a total of 12 project ideas in the field of tourism and cultural-historical heritage, distributed into a main and a reserve list. The proposals address restoration of fortresses and museums, purchase of bicycles and the construction of cycle lanes, organisation of festivals, providing access to natural attractions and balloon flights.
Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, Sector for emergency management has published tender dossier regarding International open tender procedure "Procurement of specialized vehicles" under the project "Preparation of the population for actions in case of disasters and improvement of the capacity of the professionals teams for response in case of emergency situations within the cross-border region".

On April 3, the fourth meeting of the Strategic Board of the (INTERREG VI-A) Bulgaria-Serbia 2021-2027 Programme was held in Montana.
The Strategic Board approved a list of project ideas and reserves that will improve regional competitiveness, including tourism.
The total budget of the project ideas from the approved list of the territorial strategy is 8 million and 530 thousand euros, and each project has a budget of up to 1 million euros. The implementation period is from 12 to 24 months.
Yesterday, the European Council, the Commission and the Parliament jointly signed the European Declaration on Cycling, marking the official adoption of the first inter-institutional policy on cycling at European level, thus recognizing cycling as a full mode of transport.
