1,938,985 euros under the Priority axis "Tourism" have been invested to support the development of competitive cross-border tourism.
In Chiprovtsi (Bulgaria) and Pirot (Serbia), you can touch the beauty of traditional carpets in two studios where real local craftsmen demonstrate the art of carpet making - look for this tourist product under the name "The Carpet Tale".

All along 20 years, Bulgaria and Serbia have been implementing joint projects under the cross-border cooperation program between the two countries.

In order to ensure the smooth running of the closure process of the Interreg IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria – Serbia 2014-2020 the Managing authority developed the following schedule and deadlines in connection with the verification process of the reported expenditures by the beneficiaries after the end of the project implementation:
∙ Final date for submission of requests for first level control (FLC) by beneficiaries – 10.01.2024;
The Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Angelina Boneva launched the strategic project implementation under the cross-border cooperation program (INTERREG VI-A) Bulgaria - Serbia 2021-2027 at the official handing over of the subsidy contract.
With the approval decision of the European Commission from November 22, 2022, the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG VI-A IPA Bulgaria - Serbia 2021-2027 will begin.
Over 38 million euros will be invested over the next 7 years in the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil on the territory of Bulgaria and Borski, Zaicharski, Pirotski, Niški, Toplichki, Yablanički, Pčinski in Serbia.
