Investments to prevent and mitigate the consequences of natural and man-made disasters
5,211,989 euros are the funds invested under the Program for the period 2014-2020 to prevent and mitigate the consequences of natural and man-made disasters in the cross-border region. They are provided for repair work and delivery of specialized equipment for the Reserve National Operations Center (RNOC), Sofia; construction of a training center for extinguishing forest fires and delivery of specialized vehicles for extinguishing forest fires, a specialized aerial surveillance system for the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" - Montana, and delivery of specialized equipment for combating disasters - mobile dykes, multicopters and aerial video surveillance devices, a vehicle-mobile station for the transport of equipment for the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" – Montana; delivery of equipment and machinery for emergencies, for quick and effective response to emergency situations in the town of Kostenets; supply of specialized fire-fighting equipment, equipment for flood prevention and search and rescue operations for the municipality of Svoge; delivered equipment for waste collection in the city of Vidin; provision of modern mobile equipment to stimulate cross-border cooperation and tactical flexibility in emergency situations in the city of Kula.
