The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works invites applicants with approved concept notes from the Territorial Strategy of the Bulgaria-Serbia programme to submit their complete project proposals. There are a total of 12 project ideas in the field of tourism and cultural-historical heritage, distributed into a main and a reserve list. The proposals address restoration of fortresses and museums, purchase of bicycles and the construction of cycle lanes, organisation of festivals, providing access to natural attractions and balloon flights.
The invited candidates are municipalities, cultural and educational centers and NGOs from the cross-border region of the programme, which includes the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia region, Pernik and Kyustendil from Bulgaria and Bor, Zaichar, Nishava, Toplica, Pirot, Jablanica and Pcinja from Serbia. The available budget for financing the investments is EUR 8.5 M.
