For the 16th time, the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission has organized the REGIOSTARS competition.
The prestigious award has become a benchmark for excellence in projects funded by the European Union that demonstrate the impact of regional development and the contribution to a better life for people.
In 2024, projects will compete in five categories:
- COMPETITIVE AND INTELLIGENT EUROPE - Promoting competitiveness, innovation and economic sustainability;
- GREEN EUROPE – The green transition as a factor for regional development;
- CONNECTED EUROPE - Improving mobility and connectivity between regions;
- SOCIAL AND INCLUSIVE EUROPE – Achieving a more inclusive Europe by harnessing regional talent;
- EUROPE CLOSER TO THE CITIZENS - Promoting the sustainable development of all types of territories.
The eligibility criteria of the projects wishing to participate are regulated in "REGIOSTARS 2024- Guide for applicants" and "Application form", published on the electronic application platform https://regiostarsawards.eu.
All documents are submitted online through the platform until May 31, 2024.
One of the important conditions that you should not forget if you decide to participate in the competition is to have an endorsement letter from the Managing Authority.
