8.5 million euros are intended to support projects under the First Call for concept notes of project proposals under the Priority "Integrated development of border region" of (INTERREG VI-A) Bulgaria - Serbia Programme 2021-2027.
Investments in projects to improve regional competitiveness, including in the field of tourism, will contribute to the development of potential and promotion of economic and social cohesion in the cross-border region between Bulgaria and Serbia.
A total of 35 project concepts, out of the 45 submitted, have been approved for compliance with the Territorial Strategy and have been admitted to the stage of evaluating the quality of project ideas, and those who have passed this stage will be invited to submit full project proposals.
The third meeting of the Strategic Board of the Territorial Strategy was held in Pirot, Serbia, on 17 and 18 October 2023.
