Call for identified applicants to develop and submit full project proposals under the Territorial Strategy of the (Interreg VI-A) Bulgaria-Serbia Programme

Announce the launch of the second phase of the selection process of Call 1 from the Territorial Strategy of the Interreg Bulgaria-Serbia Programme 2021-2027. The selection process is open to shortlisted applicants to develop and submit full project proposals (FPP) which is linked to a corresponding concept note, which have successfully passed the first stage of Call 1 for concept notes and has been included in the list of identified project ideas (main and reserve list) part of the Territorial Strategy.

The identified 12 concept notes contribute to the achievement of Specific objective 2 “To enhance regional competitiveness, incl. in the area of tourism” (with a focus on tourism, i.e. measures 2.2 and 2.3 of the Territorial Strategy of the Programme), including in the area of tourism that addresses the following fields of intervention: 

  • development of new integrated regional tourism products; 
  • restoration, preservation, exposition of cultural heritage sites;
  • support for natural tourism sites; 
  • set-up of natural sites for economic use; 
  • investments in tourist support infrastructure and facilities; 
  • strengthening the links between natural and cultural sites, including through enhancing the 
  • cycling network, road infrastructure, border crossing points infrastructure; 
  • training of staff of tourism attractions; 
  •  improving CBC tourism marketing and branding practices 

Under the current call the identified concept notes from the first phase of Call 1 shall be further elaborated into full project proposals with regard to the operational aspects of the project. 

The total budget of the call is EUR 8 529 412.

The deadline for submission of full project proposals in the Joint Electronic Monitoring System (JEMs) of the Programme is 16th of September 2024, 17:00 EET
