Project summary: | The project “BG-RS Gourmet Products” presents a joint initiative aimed at developing local entrepreneurship and promoting authentic food products in the cross-border region between Bulgaria and Serbia. It is based on the idea that traditional flavors and local production can become a driver of economic development when supported by modern technologies, a shared vision, and access to new markets. Thanks to the partnership between Zahara Foods from Vratsa and Sladjana Tasic PR Valdoro from Vranje, the project brings together the experience of two small enterprises in creating high-quality food products. Their cooperation combines traditional recipes with modern production approaches, placing emphasis on quality, innovation, and sustainable development. Within the project, investments will be made in modern production equipment and logistics, which will increase the capacity of the enterprises and improve the efficiency of production processes. At the same time, new joint products with high added value (local ingredients and modern presentation) will be developed and launched on the market, inspired by the culinary traditions of the region. These include gourmet items such as mini tartlets with Serbian ajvar and Bulgarian goat cheese, as well as dessert tartlets with rosehip marmalade and rose water mousse. The development process will be carried out jointly through recipe definition, pilot production, and quality assessment, combining the expertise of both partners. The products will be positioned in the premium segment and targeted at gourmet shops, corporate clients, and culinary events, with the aim of expanding market presence. A key element of the project is the creation of a common brand and a joint market strategy, including bilingual packaging and participation in events and markets on both sides of the border. This will enhance product recognition and support the expansion of their market presence. The project also includes activities aimed at young people and future entrepreneurs through the organization of trainings and initiatives involving students from vocational schools. In this way, a link is established between business and education, and an entrepreneurial culture is encouraged in the region. “BG-RS Gourmet Products” builds upon the potential of local producers and demonstrates how cooperation, innovation, and shared identity can create competitive products with a strong regional character. The project contributes to increased economic activity, improved market connectivity, and the positioning of the cross-border region as a place for high-quality and sustainable products. |
