Project summary:

The project “CBComepetRegion” presents a joint initiative aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises in the cross-border region between Bulgaria and Serbia through production modernization and the promotion of sustainable business practices. It is based on the understanding that small and medium-sized enterprises in less developed and rural areas can develop successfully when investments in technology are combined with shared experience and a common approach to modern economic challenges.

Thanks to the partnership between Techceramic-M AD from Mezdra and INAK DOO from Bosilegrad, the project brings together two companies from the construction and ceramic products manufacturing sector that face the need for modernization and increased efficiency. Their joint work creates a foundation for introducing modern technologies, improving product quality, and achieving better market positioning.

Within the project, investments will be made in modern production equipment, which will enable improvements in product quality, optimization of production processes, and increased production capacity of both enterprises.

The project also includes joint initiatives and events aimed at promoting sustainable business practices in the cross-border region. A joint business conference will be organized with the participation of enterprises from both sides of the border, where good practices and solutions related to the circular economy and efficient resource use will be presented.

In parallel, the “Think Green” initiative will be implemented, including joint activities such as tree planting and raising public awareness about the importance of environmental protection.

Additionally, a joint study on the green transformation of SMEs in the region will be developed, outlining opportunities for introducing more sustainable production practices and more efficient use of resources.

In this way, an environment for cooperation, learning, and the development of new partnerships is created.

“CBComepetRegion” builds upon the potential of local enterprises by combining investments, knowledge, and joint initiatives. The project demonstrates how coordinated efforts and cross-border cooperation can lead to higher efficiency, improved product quality, and more sustainable regional economic development.
