Award-Winning Interreg Cooperation Day 2025

The 2025 Interreg Cooperation Day celebration, jointly organised by the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–Serbia Programme and the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–North Macedonia Programme, attracted around 2,600 participants and became the largest event within this year’s campaign. The celebration took place in the framework of the international theatre festival "Acting Europe – Theatre without Borders" held in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.

Bringing together artists, local communities and visitors from Bulgaria, Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia, the festival highlighted the role of culture in connecting people across borders. Through theatre performances, music and a variety of cultural activities, public spaces were transformed into places for dialogue, creativity and shared experiences.

Young participants also had an active role in the programme. They joined interactive activities, including a city quest with hidden messages and a quiz focused on Interreg and the European Union, promoting teamwork, mutual understanding and awareness of cross-border cooperation.
