The Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia is launching a series of regional meetings with stakeholders regarding the preparation of the new Interreg Programme Bulgaria–Serbia for the 2028–2034 programming period.
The aim of the regional consultations is to involve local communities already at the programming stage, as well as to collect proposals regarding the priorities and directions of the future programme.
The preparation of the new 2028–2034 programming period is taking place in the context of the development of the European framework for territorial development, with a stronger focus on clearly defined objectives, measurable results, and the tangible impact of cooperation between regions. Therefore, the active participation of stakeholders from the region is of particular importance for shaping the future programme in line with the actual needs of the programme area.
We invite all interested representatives of local self-governments, institutions, civil society organizations, educational institutions, regional development agencies, businesses, and other relevant stakeholders to actively engage in the consultation process, attend the meetings, and contribute with their proposals to the creation of a new programme that will directly influence the development of their territory and future opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
Regional consultation meetings will be organized on 28 May 2026 in Zaječar and on 29 May 2026 in Niš.
