To support the successful launch of the new projects, the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–Serbia Programme 2021–2027 organised parallel training sessions for beneficiaries from Bulgaria and Serbia under the Call for Services of General Interest. The training covered the main rules for project management, implementation and reporting.

The sessions took place on 26 June 2026, immediately after the signing of the subsidy contracts, providing participants with practical guidance from the very beginning of project implementation.

In Bulgaria, the training was delivered online by experts from the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat. In Serbia, an in-person training session was organised in Niš by the Joint Secretariat Antenna, with the participation of experts from the National Authority and the National Control Unit at the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia.

The programme covered the key requirements related to project implementation and reporting, financial management, eligibility of expenditure, verification, public procurement, as well as the rules on information, publicity and visibility.

The practical case studies and direct discussions with the experts gave beneficiaries the opportunity to receive answers to their specific questions, clarify important aspects of project implementation and begin their work with greater confidence.
